Collection: Ben Bires and Fran Bires

This father and son exhibition shows how two artists see the same subject in different ways, portraying wildlife and natural bokeh through photography and painting. "Bokeh" comes from the Japanese word for "blur" or "haze" and describes the soft, out-of-focus quality in a photograph. Each artist interprets the technique in his own medium, making a statement about how artists represent the natural world.
