About the Exhibit:

With this series, I found myself considering how we shed our conditioned identities and reconnect with our true, wild nature. These works reflect an ongoing personal journey through the unraveling of roles I once held tightly—mother, executive, American citizen. I am fascinated by what is left when the masks fall away.  My hope is that, through this work, viewers might explore their own wild nature and the freedom found in letting go.

Artist Bio:

In my art, I tend to explore our connections to one another, to the world around us, and to the events that shape our lives. I am drawn to the tension between abstraction and figuration, with my paintings often landing somewhere along that expressive spectrum. Working primarily in oil and cold wax allows me the freedom to build layered textures and subtle luminosity, creating history in the painting - visually and emotionally.

My intention is to invite viewers to move beyond the surface composition and discover something that resonates with their own lived experience. I rarely begin any work with a specific vision; each piece reveals itself organically, shaped by whatever experience is happening in the moment.

Ultimately, I strive to create work that is provocative, emotionally charged, and open to interpretation—reflecting the complexity and ambiguity of being human.
