I guess she was right. I became strongly interested in art and earned a degree in Drawing and Painting from the University of California at Long Beach. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhether in my technical illustration, graphic design, woodworking or fine art, I’ve often utilized 3D design and the illusion of dimensionality. My drawing, painting, and photography demonstrate how highlights and shadows can give 2-D objects the 3rd dimension.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI’m also drawn to surrealism. My art often does not depict reality, but visions from my imagination. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSalvador Dalí was one of my artistic heroes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMoving to Colorado further opened my eyes to the beauty of basic elements, like water -- streams, rivers, waterfalls, snow and rain – and rocks, of every shape, size and color.
